Raising the Bar in Home Care

Griswold Home Care is committed to providing the best home care at the best value, the best quality caregivers and the best customer service.  An unknown source once said, "if you have the same approach, the same message and the same service as your competitors, one of you is unnecessary."  We are committed to staying a viable and necessary option for home care; not providing the same old home care you have become accustomed to from other home care companies.  Over the last three decades we have raised the bar in the home care industry when it comes to home care and we are proud of our Standards of Excellence.

CareAssure Screening System - The Most Experienced and Compassionate Home Care Professionals

To safeguard the happiness and well being of each client, our proprietary screening process clears only the most professional, experienced and proven caregivers. The CareAssure Screening system has been developed over a 30-year span of understanding what families look for in a professional caregiver. It consists of extensive behavioral-based in-person interviews, criminal background investigations, driving record checks, personal and professional reference audits as well as all state-specific requirement verifications.

Each CareAssure Screening includes the following steps:

1.Telephone screen
2.Application or information form to establish history/references
3.Behavioral interview
4.Competency screening for over 44 skill sets and experiences
5.Screening for strengths and improvements
6.Screening for trustworthiness and reliability
7.Screening for honesty
8.Screening for suitability and patience
9.Information sharing -- discussions about client privacy, ethics and appropriate behavior
10.Verification of identity
11.Verification of work eligibility
12.Verification of certificates and additional training
13.Criminal background check, nurse aide registry check, employee misconduct check, and motor vehicle record check
14.Supervisory references
15.Personal references

Griswold then exceeds all other in-home care companies by screening for integrity, competence, identity and compassion. We only clear caregivers we would trust in our own family homes. As a result, less than 5% of all caregiver applicants pass our stringent CareAssure Screening process.

CarePairing System - Finding the Perfect Caregiver for Every Family

When you partner with Griswold Home Care for your loved one's non-medical home care needs, we conduct a complimentary in-home needs assessment.

Over the course of this 90-minute discovery session, we determine the level of care required by your family member or loved one and ask a series of questions designed to help us find the best possible caregiver for each unique individual. Based on the results of our initial assessment, we provide a personalized care proposal recommending the ideal level of care required.

Our proprietary CarePairing system then matches your loved one with caregiver personality and skill profiles, going far beyond a basic background check to ensure his or her complete satisfaction and safety. We go the extra steps to find caregiver profiles with your preferences, including; similarity in social history, behavioral styles, cognitive ability, personality, communication style, values and humor.

Furthermore, the caregivers we refer have experience with chronic conditions or special needs such as Alzheimer's, ALS, MS, hospice, as well as those who need assistance with ambulation, transportation, specific meal preparation or personal care.

The end result is a strong, long-lasting in-home care relationship that meets the needs and exceeds the expectations of everyone involved.

How we back this up:  At no charge to you, if you're not pleased with the professional caregiver we refer for any reason, we will identify and refer a replacement caregiver until we're certain you're 100% satisfied. Guaranteed.

Family Feedback System - Your 360-Degree Home Care Communication Loop

Here at Griswold Home Care, we believe that every successful home care relationship depends on clear and regular communication between all parties involved. Our Care Coordinators don’t just refer a caregiver and disappear. We stay in constant contact with your loved one via a monthly call and quarterly in-person visit at no additional charge. During this interaction with your loved one, the Care Coordinator will check for a number of items including obvious changes in personality, temperament, and other home conditions at your request. We then communicate this information to authorized family members or other members of your care team via email or a phone call.

If, over the course of these calls and visits, any change in the care recipient's well being is detected, we work with you and your family members to determine if any changes to the Personalized Care Plan is needed.

Griswold Home Care's quality, affordable services extend beyond the boundaries of the traditional family home. For individuals who require the clinical access and assistance of a senior housing community or nursing home, we refer supplemental non-medical home care providers or companions wherever your loved one might reside.

No one wants to feel alone in this environment and we understand that your time does not always allow for daily visits. Combined with our Family Feedback system, the Griswold AnywhereCare Advantage program offers the peace of mind that comes from knowing your loved one has the security and care of an assisted living facility as well as the dedicated companionship you would provide if your loved one lived at home.

This program is ideal for those families whose loved one might be transitioning to an assisted living, nursing home, retirement community, or rehab center.
