High Tech Home Care Startup Closes Doors

HomeHero startup closes doors after raising $23 million. The lessons learned from this are:

1. Griswold Home Care of San Antonio has been able to successfully adjust our business model to overcome regulatory pressures. While there were certainly growing pains and pricing pressures, we do our best to keep prices affordable while paying our caregivers a competitive wage.
2. Technology is not always the answer. While we are constantly on the look out for ways to enhance our client’s home care experience and capitalize on technology, we understand that even technology has its limits. Home care for a loved one is a very personal choice and process.  Technology will never replace the personal touch of meeting face to face before beginning care to help us understand your unique home care needs and concerns, having an assigned care coordinator who will hold your hand throughout the process and building close personal relationships with our clients and their families. While we don’t believe the home care industry will ever be “Uberfied”, we do think there is room for technology and we will constantly be on the lookout on how to best marry technology and great home care services.
